Melticare´s first area of innovations is focused on supporting patients with acute and chronic lung diseases, such as asthma and Chronic Lung Disease (COPD). These conditions affect hundreds of millions of people worldwide and growing. There is a pressing need for smarter, more effective tools in respiratory care.
By starting here, we aim to deliver human centered, research-based solutions that truly improve lives and clinical outcomes globally.

Niclas is a seasoned emergency care specialist with over 26 years of experience in pre-hospital and emergency care environments both nationally and internationally. A former surf lifesaver in both Sweden and Australia, firefighter and medical operation leader in the Middle East.
With the founding of Melticare AB, Niclas brings his passion, empathy, and experience into a new phase – Developing high-quality, human-centered medical technologies that originate from the very people who use them: healthcare professionals.

What sets Niclas apart is more than his clinical expertise – it´s his mindset. A problem solver at his core, he sees obstacles as opportunities and has a lifelong drive to create solutions that make a difference in people´s life.
Roger Rüdén
Physician, Innovator, and Strategic Medical Advisor
Dr. Roger Rüdén is a physician specializing in general medicin and profile in emergency medicine with over 20+ year track record in innovation, leadership and international medical operations. With a background as an experienced pilot and reserve officer in the Swedish Air Force, he has held key roles including Chief Physician for ambulance care and Chief of Staff for disaster preparedness. Roger is also a long-time entrepreneur and patent holder, known for bridging clinical expertise with technical development. His work is grounded in practical care delivery and driven by a core mission: to improve and transform healthcare systems through innovation and collaboration.

Senior consultant in Life Science with a special focus on Medical Devices. Tomas has worked in Life Science since the mid-80s.
In 1994, Tomas started his own consulting company in quality assurance (QA) and regulatory support (RA) for medical devices, A company that grew organically until 2024 when the company was sold to a larger international group. At that time, the company had appr. 75 employees and operations in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Lund and Copenhagen.
Tomas is passionate about problem-solving for QA and RA when it comes to finding a pragmatic solution that meets all requirements and with patient safety in focus.
